University has started again and work has started to pick up!!

Random Weekend #3

This weekend is going to be this weeks' update and shuffle combined! (Because I had to take a plane back to Hong Kong ... hehe).
I watched The Holiday on the plane, was very good (i mean the music xD - the acting/story/everythingelse was good too).
As i mentioned earlier, there are probably many other mp3s out there that post faster than i do -_- but let me tell you on thing
THEY MAY NOT WRITE AS HONEST REVIEWS! XDD (kidding).

A few posts back I was writing about how insanely in love i was with Shoko Nakagawa's Sorairo Days? Well her single came out 2 days ago. And the rest of the songs..well .. kinda pretty much suck + she looks stoned on the cover."

Also listened to Sifow's new single to be released later in the year called 'Natsu Hanabi'. Which is just dull. arrrghh. I'm missing the GOOD STUFF, lol.

This week has been tough >__<! exams and all
We also saw quite a few new releases this week.
I'm beginning to think that this mp3 rotation stuff is tough.
There being so many mp3 rotations out there that update a whooole lot faster and often (like everyday!) than i do (i.e. yongwonhi ).
Maybe i should try to introduce less "popular" or famous songs. There are some good ones out there!

Just wanted to make a few changes :D
I downgraded from plus to basic so no more of those ads >___<!
I don't use many icons anyways and i suck at making them xD...
The layout is from here, with a few mods from me :) i'm still not used to the LJ system so this will do for now :D

I was going to use one of the S1 layouts but then the coding got too confusing x__x;;
Been trying to find this song since forever : Ayumi Hamasaki - A (with m.c.A.T), help anyone ;)?

I'd like you guys to try DJ Amaya's works (unless you're not into remixes and trance), which can be found at his myspace. Some are better than others, but i'd recommend J-pop party editions #3 and #5 (#5 came out 2 days ago - i think).

But this update is mainly to "plug" Juju's album Open Your Heart~素顔のままで~ which came out on the 6th of June and i've been spamming it ever since. :p There are only a few songs worth listening to though (so far i think only utada's albums are completely worth listening to, maybe i'm just ignorant or something). To be honest, i think cravin' 07 mix is the one worth downloading, but to show that she really really can sing, i've included track 01 too. Guilty Pleasure is good in the beginning but gets a bit creepy after a while, just thought you should know (lol).

I've always had something against Bonnie Pink's voice. It sounds too nasal, i dont know how else to put it. I mean, Ayu's voice can get a bit nasal everynow and then but she's got depth in her voice too. Her latest single (i think) is called Water Me. Which i think is pretty good .. yea.. its decent. On another note, I dont know why i'm not into Visual K, either i'm missing the appealing part of it or just confused -_-a..
p.s. i was looking at the credits for the single and saw paul mccartney? o_O;;

Just a small update for Ayu's new single: Glitter / Fated.
To be honest i dont like it.. I liked her rock and trance (i.e. evolution) works best :) Given, fated is supposed to be a rock ballad, of sorts. But is approaching summer so you'll probably see what i mean when i say Glitter reminded me of Blue Bird. But see what you think and leave a comment :)?
Note: this isn't the full single, as you can obviously see that the instrumentals are missing.

Awesome song :D! Must must mustmustmustmustmustmust (i promise i wont' spam mustmustmust again but its realllly good X0) Its quite new too. Its the OP for Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (which i haven't seen or anything). But i've seen the PV. Once you see the singer, its quite shocking to see that that's where the vocals come from (no offence or anything, i'm just emphasizing that it's surprizing).

Considering that the songs that Olivia did for Nana and some of her previous works were quite good, i was kinda dissapointed with this one. Putting the intro aside, It just seemed a bit monotonic, so I would recommend against downloading it (to be honest). Why the hell is it on my playlist anyways....

Apart from the serious engrish sounding lyrics in this song, the rhythm is quite awesome. I guess i'm just a sucker for fast beat songs :) Anna's vocals are fabulous and the instrumentals is great, as long as you don't mind a bit of repetition. Would recommend it, not as much as the Sorairo Days though, hehe. Anna always has upbeat works. Kuroi Namida, which i guess is considered a .. ballad? Is also great. She really shows her range in this single.

Ah.. Boa the great. I prefer her korean songs though. I really don't fall for the .. "light hearted" songs that remind you of candyfloss and sparkles. The PV was a bit weird too, with the whole Michael Jackson thing. Her dancing was flawless though, typical of someone who's been training since they were ...11? or was it 12? Boa's vocals are still amazing, she still ranks top for vocals for me :) I can't wait until her korean album (which i hear is still under the works) comes out. Bad drive is decent though. Go google it. p.s. Doesn't BoA look adorable on the cover? >w<!

This is a song I came across while browsing the Oricon Single Charts. Its one of those happy happy songs and a nice transition into summer song. I'm not an avid fan of Exile, heck, i'm not a fan at all, but this song is decent. Its one of the those song you'd play while taking a walk.. (i think).

Surprize!! My playlist isn't 100% japanese. whoawhoawhoa. I gotta admit though, the lyrics are quite corny. But considering most of the stuff that I listen to is japanese and i know zilch japanese, i'm more of a rhythm person :) and an addict for fast songs. You'll probably end up notice (that is if you ever come back) that most of my stuff is fast. So if you're looking for ballads, better luck somewhere else :p

I know how i said 8 songs.. but i'm already tired after just 5 xD... See you next week :p

I'm ~~sort of~~ new to Livejournal. Sometimes having your blog on an isolated domain can be so lonely :(... So i've decided to start an mp3 rotation to get to know people and share the love for music :D!
The rotations will be of 2 types:

Random Weekend - Where I put iTunes on random and upload the 8 songs that come up :)
Bi- Weekly - This is how often I plan to upload stuff. I am in university after all :p

I plan to do a bit more with the layout after i finish my exams.. (but it'll most likely be sooner than later, i'm a procrastinator like that, aren't we all :p)
